Rihanna (34) has her own way of preparing for her Super Bowl performance! The time has finally come on Sunday: The “Umbrella” interpreter will appear on the popular halftime show of this year’s NFL finals and perform her hits. For the first time in around seven years, she will be singing live in front of an audience again – so good preparation seems particularly important. So Rihanna was inspired by none other than Beyoncé (41)!

Speaking on an episode of The Process with Nate Burleson podcast, the 34-year-old admitted she studied the ‘Cuff It’s singer’s past performances at the halftime show to prepare for her own performance: “I’ve got Beyoncés Watched the halftime show a few times. She’s a beast and on a whole other level. I just wanted to get some inspiration,” Rihanna told the host.

The “Lift Me Up” singer also revealed during a press conference that her biggest challenge was choosing a song. “That was the hardest part: deciding how to maximize 13 minutes but also celebrate,” Rihanna explained, adding, “You’re trying to cram 17 years of work into 13 minutes, it’s difficult. We have to do some songs because of that and that’s okay too, but I think we managed to make the selection quite well.”
