Maiara Walsh was born on February 18, 1988, in Seattle, Washington, to an American father, also of Irish, English, German and French-Canadian descent, and a Brazilian mother.
Maiara’s paternal grandfather, Laurence Mason Walsh, was the son of Royal Hill Walsh and Ina Mae Swihart, who are of English descent, while her paternal grandmother was Margaret “Peggy” Cahail, who is a daughter of Ira Earl Cahail and Alice Stella Kellogg, who are of Canadian descent.

She Left Home at Age 11 to Pursue a Career in Acting
The star of the Desperate Housewives moved with her family to São Paulo, Brazil when she was only two years old, but moved to Simi Valley, California at the age of eleven to pursue an acting career. In 2010 she got the chance to appear as a guest on CW’s The Vampire Diaries. The following year (2011) she played the role of Mandi Weatherly in Mean Girls 2 – a teen comedy on TV directed by Melanie Mayron. She then played the lead role in the Dr. Phil Show.
