Ty Simpkins is an American actor who started as a child and has become a famous name in Hollywood. He is best known for his leading roles in films such as The Jurassic World (2015), Iron Man 3 (2013), and Insidious (2011).

Simpkins has been active since 2005 and has appeared in several films and television shows. To date, he has starred in more than a dozen films and has been nominated for four awards for his roles in Jurassic World (3x) and Iron Man 3 (1x). For his performance in the American science fiction adventure film Jurrasic World, he received a 2016 award for the best performance by a young actor.

Ty Simpkins Age 

Ty Simpkins was born on August 6, 2001, in New York City and grew up at the side of his older sister Ryan Simpkins, who is also an actress. He graduated from high school in New York City and has been a child actor all along.

Simpkins caught the attention of the audience at the tender age of 5 when he appeared in the acclaimed drama Little Children in 2006. Prior to that, he appeared on screen for the first time at the age of three weeks.

Acting Career

Ty appeared in the 2001-2002 soap opera One Life to Live, followed by a recurring role as Jude Cooper Bauer in Guiding Light (2001-2005). At the age of three, he then debuted his film career in Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds (2005).

He also had a guest appearance in the television drama series Law & Order: Criminal Intent, as well as a handful of commercials and print ads. Simpkins played a young version of Jude Law’s character in the 2006 political drama film All the King’s Men. In the same year he was cast as Aaron in the multi-award-winning drama “Little Children”, a film based on the 2004 novel of the same name written by Tom Perrotta. In 2008 he starred alongside his sister Ryan in Pride and Glory, in which they appeared as children of Colin Farrell.

Ty Simpkins was commissioned with two more film projects this year, including Gardens of the Night (2008) and then in Revolutionary Road (2008), a film in which he again played alongside his real-life sister Ryan Simpkins.

He made a guest appearance in Family of Four and CSI, Private Practice, and later signed a contract to play the character of Luke in The Next Three Days (2010). His follow-up and major film projects include Insidious (2011); Arcadia (2012); Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013).

His role as Harley Keener in Iron Man 3 alongside Robert Downey Jr. in 2013 made it possible for the first time for a child actor to play a prominent role in the character of Marvel Comics. He also signed a 3-film deal with the film studio and later played the lead role in the 2016 film The Nice Guys.

In 2015 he was one of the leading actors in three films, including the blockbuster Jurassic World; Hangman, and played Adam in the film Meadowland.

In addition to his on-screen role, the talented star also lent his voice to video games such as Lego Dimension (2015), Lego Jurassic Park (2015), and Lego Marvel’s Avengers (2016). His most recent appearance on screen was in the film Barbados and it is believed that he is working on another major project that is in post-production for 2019.

Family – Parents, Girlfriend 

Ty Simpkins is the only son and the second born of his parents, Monique Simpkins and Stephen Simpkins. He comes from a home in Christain and the family shares a close bond that he occasionally shares on his Instagram page. The young actor and his family currently live in Los Angeles, California.

To the chagrin of many fans who have fallen in love with the handsome actor, Ty Simpkins has a girlfriend, Jordan Wilson, whom he told in a photo on Instagram with a cute caption that says “she’s almost as dreamy as” his “eyes.

While some fans praised her photos on Instagram, others did not find it amusing or were not happy about it. When he first posted a picture with Jordan on Twitter on August 25, 2015, with the headline “My Girl”, fans speculated whether or not she was really his girlfriend. Then he made this clear on September 28, 2017, after tweeting about his “girlfriend” on one of his Twitter posts.
