Post Malone’s Early Life
Austin Richard Post known as Post Malone was born on July 4, 1995, in Syracuse New York. Raised by his father Richard and stepmother Jodie music was a big part of his upbringing thanks to his dad who used to DJ. They moved to Grapevine Texas when Austin was nine because his dad started working for the Dallas Cowboys.
Austin got into playing guitar early inspired by the video game Guitar Hero. He tried out for a band called Crown the Empire in 2010 but didn’t make it past the audition when his guitar strings broke. Despite this setback, he kept pursuing music.
