Who is James Murr Murray?
James Stephen Murray is a comedian, actor, and producer. Although it is known that he is of British descent, little is known about his childhood. Murr, as he is known at Impractical Jokers, was born James Stephen Murray on May 1, 1976. He attended Monsignor Farrell High School, which he graduated from in 1994, and in the same year, he went to Georgetown University, where he spent the next four years.
Together with his friends from high school, Brian “Q” Quinn, Joseph “Joe” Gatto, and Salvatore “Sal” Vulcano, Murr founded The Tenderloins in 1999. The group is a live improvisation and sketch comedy troupe. After graduating, each member went their way, but since they didn’t make it, they fell back and continued.

After performing live shows in theatres, clubs, and festivals across the US, The Tenderloins moved to entertain millions of online audiences with comic skits that millions of visitors watched on YouTube, MySpace, Metacafe, and other social sites. Together with the other members of The Tenderloins, James Murr Murray started the comedy show called Impracticable Jokers on TruTV in 2011. Impracticable Jokers is a popular prime-time American comedy TV series. It is a hidden camera reality series in which actors play the craziest pranks on each other, usually at the expense of unknowing passers-by. They expose each other to the most embarrassing and humiliating challenges, while hidden cameras capture the reaction of the unsuspecting audience.
The show has made James, along with other members of the troupe, very popular. They have also organized several sold-out tours inside and outside the USA and have also started a book project about their experiences with the show. In 2012, based on the fame they gained through Impractical Jokers, The Tenderloins started a bi-weekly podcast on their website and iTunes.
The comedy show has been running for over nine years and has completed eight successful seasons since its launch. In addition to his appearance on the show, James Murray is also the executive producer of the show and senior vice president of development at NorthSouth Productions, the television company that produces Impractical Jokers.
Did James Murr Murray Get Married?
Although he is not currently married, James Murr Murray once walked down the aisle in 2014 with Jenna Vulcano, the sister of fellow Tenderloins Salvatore “Sal” Vulcano. The couple’s friends were present at the wedding, and everything went like a normal marriage. But 24 hours later the marriage was annulled. It was another joke.
Murray just played another prank on Sal. What is not known is whether Jenna was involved in the expensive prank with her brother. What is His Sexual Orientation?
Since James Murr Murray is a good joker, it is hard to tell when he is serious and when he is joking. So when the speculations about his sexual orientation began, nobody knew what to believe.
In 2016, however, he came out to confirm the rumor that he was gay. Before that he made jokes about his friends, which took his fans by surprise. In an episode of the daytime talk show, hosted by Sally Jessy, he made a revelation about his sexuality.
In a typical joking way, Sal Vulcano was the first person to come out on the show and claim that he was gay. He later admitted that he was straight, but only claimed to be gay to encourage Murr to come out.
