She was instead given immunity from prosecution for any crimes committed while she was a member of the Manson Family including the Tate-LaBianca murders.

Linda Kasabian married Robert Peasley before joining the Manson Family in 1968.
Peasley’s occupation was that of a guitarist and artist. Tanya, the couple’s daughter was born.
Peasley was not a member of the Manson Family or the Tate-LaBianca murders and he and Kasabian ultimately split up due to her cult involvement.
Kasabian also abandoned Peasley and their daughter in New Hampshire to travel to California.
Linda met Charles Manson in California in 1969 and became a member of the Manson Family.
Kasabian had no communication with Peasley or her daughter during her time with the Manson Family.
She allegedly called Peasley after the Manson trial to reconcile. Their relationship however did not last and they ultimately divorced.
Peasley’s life after his marriage to Kasabian is largely unknown as he has largely stayed out of the public eye.

Linda Kasabian was born in Biddeford Maine on June 21, 1949. As previously stated Kasabian encountered Manson while hitchhiking in California in 1969.
She joined the group and as other young women attracted to Manson became one of his followers.
Kasabian was present at several of the Manson Family’s notorious gatherings including the Tate-LaBianca murders in August 1969 which killed actress Sharon Tate and six others.

Kasabian on the other hand did not take part in the killings and she later became a crucial witness for the prosecution in Manson and his followers trial.
She provided detailed testimony against Manson and his co-defendants Susan Atkins Patricia Krenwinkel and Leslie Van Houten detailing their involvement in the murders.
Kasabian’s evidence was critical in securing Manson’s and his followers’ convictions.
She was granted immunity in return for her cooperation with the prosecution and she later left California and changed her identity.
Kasabian vanished from public view following the Manson prosecution. She gave interviews on occasion but maintained a low profile in general.
Until her death last month, she had appeared in several films and television programs about the Manson Family and the Tate-LaBianca murders.
