The beautiful actress was born on April 20, 1972, in Sharonville, Ohio. At her birth, she was given the name Tara Leigh Patrick. Her parents were both musicians, because her father Harry Patrick was a guitarist, while her mother Patricia was a singer. She grew up with 5 older siblings; 4 brothers and one sister Debbie. Electra is of English, German, Irish, and distant Dutch descent.

The young Carmen Electra received her early education at the Ann Weigel primary school. She also registered for dance classes at the Dance Artists Studio in Western Hills Cincinnati, Ohio. She later studied at the Cincinnati-based School for Creative and Performing Arts. Finally, she completed her high school education at Princeton High School, which she graduated from in 1990.
