Will Riley Keough (33) follow in her grandfather’s footsteps? The granddaughter of the famous singer Elvis Presley (42) is actually an actress by profession. Her mother Lisa Marie Presley (54) was also in the music business like her father. Since Elvis is still considered one of the greatest artists in music today, his footsteps are big. Riley isn’t sure if she should continue her family’s musical legacy.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Riley explains how she feels about her family’s big musical footsteps. “I certainly wouldn’t put myself under that pressure. I don’t know if I’ll continue my grandfather’s legacy – it’s a very personal matter for me,” says the 33-year-old. She is not a musician and has been interested in films all her life, but music has always played a big role in her life.
Playing a singer and songwriter in her new series “Daisy Jones & The Six” is therefore a very special experience for Riley. She also sings here as the protagonist Daisy. “Everyone in my family is a musician and I’ve traveled the world and toured a lot but I’ve never done it myself. So for me, it was more about my personal relationship with music, about the joy about it,” she explains.
