Adam Eaton is a professional baseball player who has become very famous through his work in the Major Baseball League (MLB) for the Washington Nationals as an outfield player. Adam Cory Eaton, the Nationals outfielder, was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 6, 1988. He was raised by his parents, Glenn Eaton and Robin Eaton, who he said would be eternally grateful for their sacrifices.

The star, who began playing baseball early in his life, grew up alongside his brother, Zachary Eaton, who is set to become captain of the United States Air Force in 2015. It is quite surprising that he chose baseball instead of the army, since both his parents worked in the army like his brother.

For his education, the outfielder started at Kenton Ridge High School and from there he went to the University of Miami where he played for the college baseball team. He played baseball before that in his high school days. He played as a pitcher and outfielder for his school and helped the team reach the 2014 and 2015 regional finals.

Adam began his professional career when he was drafted into the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft. He was selected as the 571st pick. Since he played in the Minor League, he was named an all-star outfield player in the Pioneer League.

In 2012, he made his MBL debut for the Arizona Diamondbacks, but that was after he became the most valuable player and rookie of the year in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). Due to an injury he sustained, he played only 66 games for the club before joining the Chicago White Sox.

Adam Eaton remained with the White Sox until 2016 when he was transferred to the Washington Nationals. There he was soon to be placed on the disabled list after returning with a strained knee. Later it turned out that the problem was more than just that, as he was forced to miss the rest of the season.

In 2018, he returned for the national team, only to receive the award of “National Player of the Week”. This was the first time in his career that he received this award. However, he was soon put back on the disabled list after he injured his left leg during an operation. He remained out from April to June 2018 when he returned to the league.

Considering his career in the MBL, which can be considered quite successful so far, he has received some recognition, e.g. as an AL triple leader in the 2014 and 2016 MLB seasons.

As far as his career statistics are concerned, he has had good runs so far, achieving a batting average of 0.285 by April 2018. What’s more, Adam has logged 619 hits, 38 home runs and 195 bases hit, while his stolen bases stand at 57. In total, he has played 553 games and recorded 2458 record appearances.

Contract and Salary

For a player who has come and gone very far in the MLB, his contract allows him to take home a $6 million salary. After joining his new team in 2017, his salary was $4 million. Further down the line, he received 850 thousand dollars in 2015, while in 2014 his salary was 511 thousand dollars.

When he made his first appearance in the MLB for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012, Adam Eaton took home $480,000, which rose to $491,000 in his second season.

Eaton is married to Katie Osburn Eaton, a former softball player who played for the Miami RedHawks. They were married on December 1, 2012, in Plymouth, Michigan. The couple’s first child, Brayden Eaton, was born in 2016.
