One of the most memorable and painful days in 2016 was probably the day when Christina Grimmie, a blooming star, was suddenly sent into the world beyond by an apparent murder.
At the age of 22, Christina had already touched many hearts and achieved much in her short-lived career. She was born on March 12, 1994, as Christina Victoria Grimmie, daughter of Tina, a receptionist, and Albert, who joined Verizon Communications in 2014. Her singing talent was discovered by her father when she was six years old, and by the age of ten, she was already playing the piano. Before her death, Christina was an animal rights activist and participated in fundraising activities for the Humane Society of the United States. As a singer, Christina released her first extended piece “Find Me” in 2011. The EP debuted at #35 on the US Billboard 200 and #2 on iTunes and was a success that brought her even more fame. She signed with Creative Artists Agency in 2012 and released her only studio album With Love in August 2013. Before her tragic death, Christina finished second in the popular singing competition The Voice in 2016. She also tried her hand at acting and in 2016 she starred in the independent romantic comedy The Matchbreaker.

Christina was born as the daughter of Tina and Albert Grimmie and was of Italian and Romanian descent. Her mother, Tina, was diagnosed with breast cancer, a problem that troubled Christina before her murder. She also had an older brother Marcus, who acted as her road manager during her performances. Marcus was there when the singer’s life was taken by an armed, obsessed fan.

Cause Of Christina Grimmie Death
In the midst of global chaos and senseless killings around the world, Orlando police delivered the saddest news on their Twitter account: “With deep regret, we have confirmed that Christina Grimmie, @TheRealGrimmie, has died of her injuries. The singer was shot three times by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl on June 10, 2016. The tragic incident occurred when she was signing autographs after her performance with Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando. She was brought to the Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Early the next morning she was pronounced dead.
Since Loibl had fatally shot himself after the attack by Grimmie’s brother Marcus, the police could not interrogate him to find out the reason for the attack on the singer. Nevertheless, it was assumed that Loibl’s extreme obsession with Christina Grimmie might have inspired him to take her life, as he did not get any attention from her.
