Steve Irwin (44) inspired numerous fans as “Crocodile Hunter” for years – today he would have been 61 years old. The Australian died in 2006 after being stung by a stingray while filming. Seventeen years after his death, his wife Terri (58) and their two children Bindi (24) and Robert (19) regularly share heartbreaking stories and photos of the adventurer. His daughter Bindi remembered Steve’s 61st birthday with a touching picture.

On Instagram, the 24-year-old congratulated her father very emotionally: “Congratulations, dad, thank you for teaching me to love all kinds of animals.” Bindi also posted a sweet snapshot from her childhood. Steve smiles and looks into the camera next to his daughter while he puts a lizard in her hand. “Your legacy lives on and the world has changed forever because of your commitment to conservation. Mom, Robert, and I love and miss you so much,” she wrote sentimentally.

In the meantime, the Australian TV fame even has a little daughter herself. Together with her husband Chandler Powell (26), she had little Grace Warrior in March 2021 – and she probably comes after her grandfather! “She has that determination that Steve had – and that connection to wildlife,” Grandma Terri revealed to Entertainment Tonight.
