On November 15, 2018, the entertainment world was in shock after the mysterious death of Kim Porter. She was an actress and a model who was more popular because of her relationship with the American music mogul P Diddy. Although their relationship ended many years ago, the two remained friends until the death of the former model.

Who Was Kim Porter?

Kim Porter was born on December 16, 1971, in Columbus, Georgia. Not much is known about her early life, but it is known that she attended Columbus High School, which she graduated from in 1988.

When she was young, she dreamed of becoming a model, something she started doing before moving to Atlanta after graduation to pursue it on a larger stage. In addition to modeling, Porter was also an actress who appeared in the 2001 film The Brothers. She also appeared in Wicked Wicked Games (2007) and several reality TV shows such as The Hollywood Story (2006) and I Want to Work for Diddy (2008).

She also founded the company Ultra-Tainment, known as “3 Brown Girls”. This company, quite popular in Atlanta, was founded together with Eboni Electra and Nicole Johnson.

Husband, Kids, and Her relationship with P Diddy

Although Kim Porter first became known with Diddy, he was not the first man in her life. In 1989 she married the American R&B record producer and actor Al B. Sure! with whom she had her first son, Quincy Jones, in 1991. Unfortunately, the two ended their relationship in 1990, even before their son was born.

P. Diddy is a man who is known to have had many relationships, but one that can be put above all others is his relationship with Kim Porter.

When the singer saw her for the first time, he worked as an A&R manager at Uptown Records. Kim came into the studio with her ex-boyfriend, but Diddy immediately fell in love with her and wished he had a girl like her. As it turned out later, he had her later, and the two started dating in 1994. At that time their son was 3 years old.

Although the relationship lasted until 2007, it was not without problems as they separated several times before they found their way together. One of these separations occurred in 2002 when Porter sued Sean Diddy Combs and demanded more child support. However, it did not take long before the two of them were back in each other’s arms.

When she was pregnant with her twins in 2006, Kim found out that Diddy had impregnated someone else outside of their relationship. Five months before the twins were born, the other woman, Sarah Chapman, Combs’ daughter, Chance Combs, gave birth. Kim Porter felt betrayed that he had cheated on her, but was very disappointed that he didn’t have the courage to tell her what had happened before she found out for herself. Although he would tell her later, it was already too late for her.

Knowing that Diddy was a man of more words than action, she decided to return to him by action and not by words, because she knew that if she told him that she would leave him, he would never let her do that. And so she left him when he was out of town, taking everything with her, including the cars and kindergarten furniture.

Despite the separation, which Kim Porter said she wanted to be dramatic about, the two remained very close friends. In fact, the very next year after their separation, the singer organized a big birthday party for her. Although Combs has dated several other women since their relationship ended, he still found time to go out with Kim and celebrate various things.

As a couple, Diddy and Kim have three children together, Christian Casey Combs, born in 1998, and Jessie James Combs and D’Lila Star Combs, born in 2006. More than that, Combs also considers Quincy Jones to be his son.

Her Death

On November 15, 2018, Kim Porter was found in Toluca Lake, California, as unresponsive and was declared dead at 11:40 a.m. Although an autopsy was initially unable to determine the cause of her death, it was reported that she had some health problems, including pneumonia.

After her death, which left Diddy devastated, he revealed that he had lost more than just a soul mate and a friend. Among the last things, she shared on social media was a picture of Combs.
