Justin Qualley was born on 14 August 1986. His maternal grandmother, Pauline “Paula” Johnston (née Oswald), was a music teacher and his grandfather, Marion St Pierre McDowell, was a timber production manager.

His ancestors are of English, French, Scottish, Irish and Welsh descent. Justin’s actress mother, McDowell’s family owned an antebellum cottage in Arden, North Carolina, which has since been turned into a hotel called the Blake House Inn.

On his father’s side, Justin is of Norwegian descent. Qually’s grandmother, also McDowell’s mother, suffered a nervous breakdown and had to undergo shock therapy. She was often stigmatized because of her illness. For this reason, she began to seek solace in alcohol.

The ‘Groundhog Day’ actress shared how Justin’s arrival changed everything about who she is because she no longer cared about anything other than him.

The Golden Globe nominee revealed that she lives in New York, works as a model, and is trying very hard to break into the acting business. She was 27 at the time and found it a bit difficult when she discovered that Justin was growing inside her belly.

Justin Culley’s mother, Andie McDowell, is a famous name in the American film industry. She made her film debut in the 1984 films Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, and Lord of the Apes, McDowell won critical acclaim for her role in Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989), for which she won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress. Justin’s younger sister and McDowell’s youngest child, Margaret Qualley (full name Sarah Margaret Qualley) trained as a ballerina in her youth and briefly pursued a modeling career. Margaret was born in 1994. She is also a model and actress and has modeled for New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, and many magazines.
