His loved ones support Bruce Willis (67)! Last March, his wife Emma Heming (44) announced that the Hollywood legend was suffering from aphasia. A few weeks ago, his ex-wife Demi Moore (60) announced the shock news online that the actor was now also suffering from frontotemporal dementia. The movie star’s family wants to be open about Bruce’s illness — and there’s a reason for that!

“Bruce has always believed in using his voice in the world to help others and raise awareness of important issues,” his family said in a statement on the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration website. His family “know in their hearts” that if the 67-year-old could today, he would draw global attention to this issue. He would do that to help people who are also affected by this serious illness.

“Bruce has always found joy in life – and he has helped everyone he knows to do the same his loved ones continue, adding: “It means so much to us to see how this feeling of care returns to him and to all of us.” The compassion and understanding shown to them at this challenging time allowed the family to do their best to support Bruce.
