Stormzy was born on 26 July 1993 in Croydon, London, as Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo, Jr. He is popular as Stormzy, but some call him Michael Omari. Stormzy had a difficult childhood while growing up in Thronton Heath in South London, where he and his two sisters were raised by their single mother because her father, who is a taxi driver, had left them.
