Ryan Palmer, a three-time PGA Tour winner, has proven beyond a doubt that golf is a sport in which he has carved his niche on the Tour despite an eight-year winless drought.
An enthusiastic and passionate golfer, he was able to overcome hurdles by going beyond dedication and hard work to see that he excelled in his chosen profession.
Early Days and Rise to Fame
Ryan was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, on September 19, 1976. He was in the class at Amarillo High School in 1995 and played college golf for a year at the University of North Texas. To complete his university education, he transferred to Texas A&M University, where he graduated in 2000. After graduating, the golfer became a professional.
During the first years of his professional career from 2000 to 2002, Ryan played on mini-tours. He played on the Tightlies Tour and the Hooters Tour. In 2003 he won the Clearwater Classic on the Nationwide Tour. He climbed the heights of his career quite quickly, reaching 6th place on the money list when he received his PGA Tour card in 2004.
He is a three-time PGA Tour winner with his first win in 2004, followed by second and third place in 2008 and 2010 respectively, and his first win came with a three-stroke victory over Briny Baird and Vijay Singh.

The PGA Tour player was born the son of Butch and Gloria Palmer among four siblings, two sisters Courtney Palmer and Corrie Harris, and two brothers Todd Palmer and Trent Palmer. His father, Charles Franklin “Butch” Palmer, was born in the pampas on February 23, 1944, and graduated from Amarillo High School.
He was drafted into the US Navy where he proudly served his country. He also worked for 13 years as a bartender and 30 years for the IFCO Pallet Company, where he retired in 2013.
Butch has been described by friends as a great gentleman and devoted family man, whose son Ryan has inherited most of his qualities, including a great love of sports. It is said that Butch introduced his son to golf because he (Butch) loved the game very much. However, golf as a profession was not Butch’s idea for his son, but he made sure to support him in every way and to be present at all his events before he died in a car accident on August 18, 2015.
Another thing Ryan probably inherited from his father is his love for children and the act of giving. His father was an active member of the Khiva shrine, where he served as a potentate in 2001. He loved the children in the hospitals of the shrine so much and was greatly missed at the time of his death.
Ryan Palmer is married to a dentist, Jennifer Palmer (née Fuller). Jennifer was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1976, in San Antonio, Texas. Her parents are Beverly and Jim Fuller.
She graduated from Amarillo High School, so the couple may have met during high school or even at university since she also attended the same university as her husband, Texas A&M University. She also attended the Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
On June 29, 2002, they became husband and wife, with the ceremony taking place at Paramount Terrace Christian Church. Ryan and Jennifer have two children, son Mason and daughter Madelyn.
Jennifer works at Ryan’s charity, the Ryan Palmer Foundation. The foundation provides golf clinics, golf programs, and scholarships to local youth in need. She was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July 2016 and underwent surgery six weeks later.
Because Ryan was a loving and supportive husband, she took time off while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation.

He is generally regarded as one of the greatest and most charismatic players in the history of the sport.
Arnold, nicknamed the King of Sports, was the first superstar of golf television to set sail in the 1950s. Born on September 10, 1929, and died 87 years later on September 25, 2016, Arnold’s career spanning more than six decades saw him win 62 PGA Tour titles in 18 years from 1955 to 1973.
The records documented Arnold as the fifth man on the PGA Tour’s winning list. When you look at his accomplishments, you can see that his pro golf career has not been without great recognition and awards. The man won seven major titles between 1958 and the 1964 Masters, where he dominated for more than six years.
Winning the Lifetime Achievement Award on the PGA Tour in 1998 and being one of the first to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974 are among his many successes in the world of golf.
All of these resumes would suggest that today’s golfer on his way to fame is the offspring of golf legend, but that is not the case. The only relationship that may exist between them is between the sport and the golf course, where they have brought their talents to our attention.
They also both have a passion for humanitarian work, and each has a charitable foundation in their name; Arnold created the Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation to help children and young people, which led to the creation of several other foundations, and Ryan, as mentioned above, created the Ryan Palmer Foundation.
In addition, they each have two children and wives on the family front, who are equally interested and committed to charity. Arnold’s grandson, Sam Saunders, is also a professional golfer.
