Solo Uniacke is the son of Gone Girl actress Rosamund Pike and her partner Robbie Uniacke. He is the couple’s first and Robbie’s fourth child.
Solo was born at the end of 2000 and is now just a few months shy of becoming a teenager. However, Pike and her second teenager have done well to shield him and his brother from unpopularity, or at least away from media attention.
There are, however, a few moments when Rosamunde has spoken about how her boys are doing. See them all in the sections below, with a little more emphasis on Solo Unijak’s details.
Solo Uniacke Birth Details And Parents
The first child of British actress Rosamund Pike and her partner, mathematician Robbie Uniacke, was born on 6 May 2012. Both parents are British.
Solo father Robie Uniacke was born in 1961 in the United Kingdom. Robie is an entrepreneur and mathematics researcher.
From an early age, Uniacke had a penchant for mathematics and was highly skilled in mathematics. He is a graduate of Eton College in Windsor, England.
The Reason Behind Solo Uniacke Name
Pike once revealed that she and her partner Uniacke chose the names of their sons because the surnames they were given were “strength” and symbolized qualities they valued.
Explaining the reason behind the names Solo and Atom, the Wheel of Time actress said, “Names have to have power. These names signal independence and independence is something I value. That’s all.”
Solo and his brother Atom also trained in Prague on a Ural, a 1946 Russian army motorcycle and sidecar. Their mother, Pip, was then starring in the Amazon series Wheel of Time.
Solo Has Five Siblings
Solo’s youngest brother, Atom, was born at the end of 2014. In addition to Atom, Solo has four half-siblings from his father’s two previous marriages.
Although Peake gave birth to her second son Atom at home, it is not clear whether the ex-Bond girl did the same for her first son Solo.
In an interview on “Live with Kelly and Ryan”, Paika once said that her sons Solo and Atom, although mostly living in London, travel a lot. She said that her boys have grown up all over the world. Solo is two years older than his brother Atom.
Rosamund Pike On Being The Mother Of Solo Uniacke And Atom Uniacke
On her role as a mother, 43-year-old Paika told Glamour magazine in 2014 that motherhood has given her a new perspective on her career as an actress.
“With children, you spend so much time re-experiencing the world as a child experiences it, and that has a nourishing effect on your imagination – in my job, imagination is key,”
said the actress, who stars in Pride And Prejudice. Peake has often said that she has thought about becoming a mother and would like to have more than one child.
Solo Parents Aren’t Married
Pike and Uniacke have been together since 2009. Solo parents Pika and Uniacke have been together since 2009. However, his parents have not yet tied the knot.
The Oxford University graduate has often said that not marrying the father of her sons is her way of breaking tradition, which she finds nice. Explaining the reason she didn’t get married to Vogue magazine in 2012, the “Gone Girl” star said,
“You try to do the right thing and the conventional thing, and it doesn’t work, and then you’re free again.”
Pike said, “It’s fun to break all the rules. I’m not married, I have a child, and it’s infinitely right.” Solo mother Peake was formerly the fiancée of director Joe Wright.
The former couple ended their relationship a month before their wedding in 2008. Their relationship lasted about two years.
Before Wright, Paik was in a relationship with actor Simon Woods. Solo’s father, Robie Uniacke, was also first married to Emma Howard.
With Howard, Robbie, 61, had one son, Robbie Jonjo Uniacke. After his divorce from Howard, Solo’s father married interior designer Rose Batstone. This union was also short-lived. However, during their short marriage, the couple had three children: Hector, Olive Uniacke, and Florence Uniacke.
Solo Uniacke Father Robie Uniacke Once Went Bankrupt And Was A Drug Addict As Well
In 2016, Solo’s father got into financial trouble. Robbie Uniacke, who was a director of Pale Fire Ltd at the time, witnessed his company go bankrupt and was investigated himself.
Uniacke was on the company’s board of directors. Unfortunately, his company struggled and went bankrupt, but was closed in 2016. Investigators later discovered that Uniacke had failed to pay taxes to Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) amounting to USD 250 000.
He reportedly evaded £179 602 in tax. Uniacke was also found to have withdrawn large sums of money from his company account to finance his personal financial needs.
Solo’s father admitted this offense and subsequently lost his position as a director of his company. Long before his relationship with the English actress, the father of Pique’s children also had a substance abuse problem.
He was apparently addicted to heroin, as was his first wife, Emma Howard. In fact, the couple’s addiction to illegal substances was one of the reasons why they broke up. Robbie later sought rehabilitation and is now clean.
Solo Knows Mandarin
Solo and his brother are apparently fluent in Mandarin. The boys have learned the language well thanks to their father, Robbie Uniacke, who is also reportedly very fluent in Mandarin.
Solo is said to have started to understand Chinese characters at the age of four. His actress mother once shared a video of her sons teaching her to speak the language, as she did not know it herself.
Speaking on “The Graham Norton Show” in February 2021 to tell a funny anecdote about how her sons taught her Mandarin, the British star said,
“I’ve got my kids homeschooling me. Because my kids speak Mandarin, and I don’t.”
Solo Uniacke And Atom Once Went To A Bachelorette Party
In February 2021, Solo’s mother told Jimmy Kimmel Live! revealed a rather funny incident that happened to her while her two sons were having fun. The actress and her family were living in Prague at the time.
Peake told Jimmy Kimmel about an incident when she and her two sons, Solo and Atom, accidentally got into a stag party during a cruise.
“Last summer, I took [my children] on what I have heard is very sort of wholesome and traditional Czech activity to do with kids, which is to go river rafting,”
said the actress from the TV series “Fracture”.
She then added,
“And there’s a lovely town called Cesky Krumlov quite near Prague and we went. And it’s this beautiful stretch of rivers — and there were rapids and weirs — and I took my two boys out on this inflatable raft.”
The Bafta nominee admitted that she did not appreciate that it is also a very popular Czech pastime at stag or hen parties.
Afterward, Pika revealed how she and her sons, while riding along, came across a group of women in bikinis with a very large inflatable man with a huge erection dragging a boat behind them. Afterward, the Oscar-nominated actress said her children were fascinated.
Apparently, Peake’s sons Solo and Atom found the men and women at the bridal shower quite intriguing, and later the boys imitated them even at home, their mother reported to Kimmel.
“I mean, my kids have never stopped sort of acting drunk ever since. They’re emulating it. They thought this is clearly what adults do. This is our future,”
said the Wadham College graduate.
Solo And His Brother Did Toothpaste Review
In the same interview with Kimmel, 53, the “I Care A Lot” star also talked about the project Solo and Atom were working on – reviewing different types of toothpaste.
Apparently, the boys were doing reviews of different flavors of toothpaste, which Kimmel later featured on his show.
How Rich Is Solo Uniacke Father; What Is His Net Worth?
While Solo’s mother is certainly a millionaire, with a net worth estimated at more than $6 million, Unjaka’s mother’s wealth is a huge enigma.
Although Robbie undoubtedly made a loss on his finances when his business went south, there is still no estimate of what he is worth now.
However, reports with a thin margin of factual veracity suggest that the father of six is also a millionaire or at least a six-figure one.
