The actress and singer grew up in Garden Grove, California, although she was born on June 26, 1992, in Long Beach, California and her full name is Jennette Michelle Faye McCurdy. Her family is of English, Dutch, French, Italian and Irish descent. She is the only girl born of her parents and has three older brothers named Marcus, Scott, and Dustin. Her interest in acting was sparked when she watched Harrison Ford in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope and began her acting career on MAD television at the age of 8.
