David Freese is an American baseball player who plays the third baseman for the MLB Los Angeles Dodgers. He was selected by the San Diego Padres in the ninth round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft but has since played with several other teams, including the St. Louis Cardinals, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the Pittsburgh Pirates of the pro-league.

David Freese’s Bio
The baseball player was born David Richard Freese on April 28, 1983, and grew up in the St. Louis area of Wildwood, Missouri. Already at a very young age, he developed a great interest in baseball and was a great fan of the Cardinals. His first contact with the game was during his high school years at Lafayette High School in Wildwood, where he played baseball for the school team.
During his high school career, David hit a total of 23 home runs in his senior year, with a batting average of 0.533. The talented star was then considered the best shortstop in the state. He received several scholarship offers from top universities and colleges, which he eventually turned down and enrolled in at the University of Missouri, where he studied computer science.
In the summer of his first year, David took a job in the maintenance department of the Rockwood School District. While there, he watched high school baseball games that reminded him how much he missed the game he loved so much. The player then asked for a spot on the St. Louis Community College baseball team. There he was selected for the All-American team by the National Junior College Athletic Association in 2004.
After his impressive performance, his coach Tony Dattoli recommended him to the baseball coach of the University of South Alabama, Steve Kittrell, who offered him a place on his team. In his junior year 2005, he had set a record of 52 runs in 56 games. The following year David was awarded the batting title by the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) and was also named SBC Player of the Year after his remarkable performances. David Freese MLB Career
During the 2006 MLB Draft, David Freese was selected by the San Diego Padres as the 273rd player to be selected in total. After terminating his contract as a rookie, David played for Minor League teams including Eugene Emeralds, Fort Wayne Wizards, and Lake Elsinore Storm during the 2006-2007 season.
He was then transferred to the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for Jim Edmonds. He then played for the Memphis Redbirds in the 2008 season before joining the Cardinals in 2009, finishing third behind Joe Thurston and Brian Barden. In his first season at the Cardinals, he played a total of 17 games due to an ankle injury he sustained during training.
As the third baseman, David had his 2011 breakout season while leading the Cardinals to win the World Series Championship. He emerged as MVP of the tournament and was honored with the Babe Ruth Award. In the same year, David also received the National League Championship Series MVP Award. Due to his continuous improvement, the star player was elected to the MLB All-Star Team in 2012 after scoring 50 RBIs and 13 home runs this season.
The following year, David received a one-year contract extension with the Cardinals. During the season he was given less playing time after a series of injuries he sustained during the season. The Cardinals also acquired Matt Carpenter to fill his position as the third baseman. At the end of the season, David was sent to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim where he was substituted for Fernando Salas.
After spending two seasons with the Angels, David became a freelancer in 2015 and signed a one-year $3 million contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 2018 he was sold by the Pirates to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for Jesus Manuel Valdez.

The third baseman was born of American parents Guy Freese and his wife Lynn Freese. His father worked as a civil engineer, while his mother worked as a teacher. He grew up with his sister Pam Freese in a Christian family. There is not much information about his parents and his sister. The beautiful lady was born in Missouri in 1990 as the daughter of the American parents Patrick O’Leary and his wife Mary Kathleen O’Leary. Mairin O’Leary is a graduate of the University of Missouri in Life Sciences and is also an artist.
After so many years of dating without any fiasco, David and Mairin became man and wife in September 2016. They have a son named Kia Freese whom they welcomed back in November 2017. They also have another family member, a dog named Bobdog. This amazing couple has led a blissful married life, and there is no sign of marital problems.
