Chloe Moretz is an American actress and model. She started at the age of 7 and had her big breakthrough in the superhero movie Kick-Ass in 2010, where she played the role of the hit girl. Chloe Grace Moretz was born on February 10, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Teri Duke Moretz, McCoy Lee Moretz, who later divorced her. Her parents are both in the medical profession, her father Teri is a plastic surgeon and her mother McCoy is a nurse. Chloe grew up in a family that she described as very Christian. She grew up mostly in Cartersville, Georgia. She is of German and English descent.
Her interest in acting began when she watched her brother Trevor, who wanted to be an actor from an early age and enrolled in the New York Professional Performing Arts School. Chloe Moretz and her mother moved to New York with her brother in 2002 so that Trevor could attend the school.
