
Sad news for all fans of “Hill Street Blues”. American actress Barbara Bosson starred as Fay Furillo in the NBC TV series from 1981 to 1987. Her role on the show earned her a total of five Emmy nominations. In a later role in “Murder One,” she was again nominated for a sixth Emmy. Now her fans have to say goodbye: Barbara died at the age of 83.

“She had more vibrancy and zest for life than you can imagine. If she loved you, then no doubt you felt it. If she didn’t, you might have known it too. Forever in our hearts. I love you “Mom,” announces her son Jesse Bochco. As Deadline also reports, the 83-year-old is said to have passed away peacefully on February 18 surrounded by her family and loved ones. The exact cause of death is not known.

Barbara was married to the Hill Street Blues creator from 1970 to 1997. He passed away in 2018. Jesse came from their marriage and is now a director. The series actress also leaves behind her daughter Melissa and two grandchildren.
