The young Berliner was enrolled in a local school in his hometown, which he subsequently attended. Tony studied reportage at the Poynter Institute in 2002, from where he went on to study political science at Occidental College, as he had an interest in reporting. There he earned a BA degree in Political Science before completing an internship at the PBS News Hour during his Master’s studies at the Graduate School of Communication at the American University.

Tony Berlin’s professional career began when he joined the ABC morning show: Good Morning America. From his first appearance on the show, he won the hearts of millions of Americans and became quite famous within a short time. His work at ABC was followed in 1995 by his role as a reporter for WHIO-TV, where he worked for three years before joining WCCO-TV.
