Will Ferrell’s Wife

Yeah people it’s the funny guy who gets the girl at the end of the day so it’s not surprising to know that Will has been married since the year 2000. Her name is Viveca Paulin and she has played several small roles in film and television including one of her husband’s films A Night At The Roxbury.

The two met before Will reached his height long before that. They went out briefly and separated amicably to be reunited when Will was on break from SNL. He ended up in Los Angeles and she invited him for a beer. After a night of clumsiness and friendship, their nascent romance grew.

On the subject, Will said, “We started after five years of friendship we literally started courting each other. Since then the situation has clearly improved further.

She is from Sweden and introduced Ferrell to Eurovision

During an interview with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Will Ferrell recounted his first trip to Sweden with Paulin in 1998. Paulin who was born in Sweden but raised in Boston took her cousin and Ferrell on a tour of her home country. This experience included being introduced to Eurovision by both Paulin and her cousin – a memory that has stayed with him since.

“We were visiting her family in Sweden and her cousin had asked us for dinner” Ferrell recalled. “It was in the month of May and my wife asked ‘Should we sit down and watch Eurovision?’ I said: ‘What is that?’ and she said ‘You don’t know what Eurovision is?’ It was the night of the final and I just sat there in front of the TV transfixed as to what was going on.”

Ferrell’s 2020 movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga was inspired by his own experiences. Ultimately, the experience provided Ferrell with the idea for this comedy-musical film that tells the story of two small-town Icelandic singers who are given a chance to compete in Europe’s biggest song competition.

She is an art collector and an auctioneer

Paulin is a highly accomplished auctioneer in the art world having earned her B.A. in Art History from Pomona College and honing her skills at Butterfield & Butterfield a now-defunct auction house. She currently works as an established professional at Los Angeles Modern Auctions where she has been regularly conducting auctions for years.

Paulin and her husband Ferrell have made their passion for art a reality, having built up an impressive collection of works by renowned artists such as Ed Ruscha Richard Diebenkorn’s Frederick Hammersley Karl Benjamin, and John McLaughlin. Having been exposed to auction houses since childhood has enabled them to make collecting art a natural progression in life. As Paulin told ArtNews back in 2014: “Being around the auction houses made the transition to collecting an easy one – particularly with prints”.

The couple have a number of John Baldessari’s alphabet prints which they believe has been instrumental in helping their children learn to read.

She has some acting experience

Paulin is an accomplished fine art professional as well as a seasoned actress. She has extensive experience in both fields making her a valuable asset to any creative project.

She had a memorable role in the 1998 comedy film A Night at the Roxbury where she played Porsche Girland later went on to appear as Anton Bjornberg’s wife in TV Land’s hit series Younger.

In 2010 Paulin and Ferrell provided a memorable send-off for comedian Conan O’Brien on his final night of hosting The Tonight Show by performing the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic “Free Bird”. This special moment was shared with millions of viewers around the world and is remembered to this day.

Will Ferrell’s Kids

After both took their vows in 2000, he and Will Ferrell’s wife had 3 sons with rather impressive Viking names, Magnus, Mattias, and Axel.

Obviously, Magnus Paulin Ferrell is the first of the trio and he was born on March 7, 2004, and he is 12 years old now then there is Mattias Paulin Ferrell who was born on December 30, 2006, he is currently 9 years old but in a few weeks that will change and finally there is Axel Paulin Ferrell 6 years old born on January 23, 2010.

Children do not live a very public life but we see them from time to time. They were spotted with him and Will Ferrell’s wife at the premiere for Daddy’s Home and also when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame it was a family affair as his wife and 3 sons were at his side.

Will Ferrell’s Family

His wife and children are not the only families the actor has to brag about there is another part of his family that you just have to know. Will’s parents are Roy Lee Ferrell and Betty Kay Overman and both are still alive to this day but their marriage seems to have died somewhere on the road as they were between 1964 and 1975.

Betty was a teacher and is currently 76 years old while her ex was a musician and is 75 years old.

There is also Will Ferrell’s brother Patrick Ferrell who is also in showbiz. He was born on May 17, 1970, under the name Patrick B. Ferrell. He is an actor and director known for Elf (2003) The Other Guys (2010) and A Night at the Roxbury (1998). That sums up the rest of the Ferrell family.

Will Ferrell’s House

Despite the fact that Mr. Ferrell’s net worth is estimated at about $85 million he leads a life that some would call modest by celebrity standards. He has two two-sided houses and is very satisfied with them his East Coast house is located in New York and his West Coast house is in the city of Angels itself.

His elegant New York home which he shares with his wife and sons was published in Architectural Digest and you know it’s not easy. The 2600 square foot apartment was once a printing house and took 3 full years to complete renovation.

Her house in Los Angeles on the other hand is a little larger and by a little bit we mean it’s over 4000 square feet. He bought it from the popular talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in 2006 for $9,900,000. In addition to the house itself, there are two additional buildings: one recreational building and the other is a combination of a living room/dining room outside that is completely fenced. It is very tall elegant and tastefully designed.
