Who Was Alex Murdaugh’s Housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield?
Gloria Satterfield was the Murdaugh family’s long-time housekeeper and they treated her like family.
Satterfield was described as a second mother to Paul Murdaugh Alex’s youngest son who was killed alongside his mother.
Gloria died on February 26 2018 according to the Netflix series.
According to the source Gloria was injured while working at Murdaug House on February 2 2018 and required medical attention.
Gloria had fallen while climbing the stairs to the Murdaugh House according to Alex’s wife. The victim had tripped over the Murdaugh family dogs on the stairs causing a violent fall that killed her.
The incident they described occurred on February 2 2018 when she fell down the stairs. However, following an investigation and report it was determined that she died on February 26 of the same year.
Following some investigation, the Murdaugh team member revealed that she discovered Alex’s drug bag and shared it with Paul.
Morgan’s parents Bill and Diane Doughty believed Gloria knew more than just a bag of drugs that could have killed her.
Gloria’s siblings were also interviewed for the series and they stated that it did not appear as if she fell down the stairs in the hospital.

Instead of seeking the death penalty, the prosecution has announced that they will seek a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the defendant.
Instead of pursuing the death penalty, the court has decided to sentence him to life in prison. The murderer could be imprisoned for the rest of his life or for more than 30 years.
Judge Clifton Newman announced that Murdaugh’s sentencing hearing would be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m.

However, after thoroughly reviewing the case, the state attorney general’s office announced in December 2022 that they had decided to seek a life sentence without the possibility of parole for Alex Murdaugh.
Murdaugh is facing over 100 criminal charges stemming from financial and drug-related offenses. His son testified that he uses drugs and has witnessed him do so in the past.
Alex was found guilty of the murders of his younger son and wife who were shot multiple times at their home.
Following the announcement it was clear that he would not face the death penalty; instead, he would spend the rest of his life in prison.
