Marcia Clark, an American writer, and television personality who also happens to be a prosecutor gained notoriety when she was the lead prosecutor in the 1995 trial of NFL player and actor O. J. Prior to that, however, she began her career as a public defender with the California State Bar, then became a prosecutor, and finally left the prosecution.

She received her high school education at a public high school called Susan E. Wagner High School in Manor Heights, Staten Island, New York City. Later, Marcia went to the University of California, Los Angeles, to study Political Science, where she graduated in 1976. After graduating in political science, she earned a doctorate in law from Southwestern University School of Law.

However, O.J. was acquitted of all charges in 1995, and during the course of the trial, Clark faced great public hostility, which even ridiculed her to such an extent that her sense of dress was a tabloid issue. She was even held responsible for the acquittal of O.J. Simpson on the grounds of incompetence by former American lawyer Vincent Bugliosi.
