Lily Weinstein’s father, Harvey Weinstein, was convicted of several sexual offenses. The first accusation of sexual assault against Harvey, dating back to the late 1970s, hit the media in October 2017. Soon, by the end of October, more than 80 women accused him of various forms of sexual harassment, which led to his dismissal from the company.
He was also accused of sexual harassment, assault, and rape, according to reports in the New York Times. Eventually, on 24 February 2020, he was indicted by a court on one count of sexual assault in the first degree and one count of rape in the third degree.
The former film producer was sentenced to 23 years imprisonment in the Vendée Correctional Institution.
