She was born in Virginia in 1995 to Tucker Carlson and Susan Carlson (née Andrews). She is of Caucasian and American ethnicity. Lillie is of mixed English, German and Swiss-Italian descent.
Her paternal grandparents Richard Boynton and Dorothy Anderson gave her grandfather Dick Carlson up for adoption. Lillie’s grandfather was subsequently adopted by an upper-middle-class couple, the Carlsons and Mayner Florence Carlson. When her paternal grandparents divorced, custody of her father Tucker was transferred to her grandfather, who raised Tucker and his brother.
