Tom Cruise (60) is currently in front of the camera for the eighth part of the successful Mission: Impossible series. For the film, the actor will reprise his role as Ethan Hunt to solve another spy adventure. Long-time fans should be able to see “Dead Reckoning Part Two” in cinemas as early as 2024. Soon there seems to be a slight delay in filming though – Tom has been invited to the coronation of King Charles!

A source told The Sun that the 60-year-old will attend the British monarch’s coronation ceremony on May 8: “There was no way he could refuse,” the source explained. He is said to have asked the “Mission: Impossible” team to stop filming for the day in order to be able to attend the exclusive celebrations in London.

The invitation should have made Tom quite happy because the action star seems to be a real Royal fan. Last year he not only invited Prince William (40) and Kate to a private performance of “Top Gun: Maverick”, but also gave them a delicious surprise. As The Sun reported at the time, the Hollywood legend is said to give his closest friends a chocolate coconut cake every year. In 2022, Kate and William could also look forward to a cake.
