In a statement seen by People, the brunette wrote, “I gave in to pressure from Evan Rachel Wood (another alleged abuse victim) to make allegations of rape against Marilyn Manson that are not true.” Ashley is certain that she was manipulated and exploited. But a rep for Evan Wood disagrees: “Evan never pressured or manipulated Ashley. It was Ashley who contacted Evan in the first place.”
Marilyn is said to have coerced a number of women – some of them even underage – into sexual acts over the years and “exploited his power as an adult and artist in the music industry”. In addition, the scandal rocker’s former music labels are also accused of having tolerated Marilyn’s actions.
