How did the victim-perpetrator dialogue between Oscar Pistorius (36) and Barry Steenkamp go? In February 2013, the Paralympics runner shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp (29) – he claims he mistook her for a burglar. Nevertheless, he was sentenced to 13 years and five months in prison. In order to be released early, Oscar was ordered as rehabilitation measure to speak to the father of the deceased. To date, no further information on the course of the conversation has been published – that should change now!

As The Sun now reports, Barry read his former son-in-law a letter from Reeva’s mother June, in which she begged Oscar to admit the killing was no accident: The 36-year-old is said to have cried afterward, although he stuck to his version and went on to claim that he mistook his girlfriend for an intruder at the time.

“He never showed any remorse,” Reeva’s mother reportedly said after the interview. “I wasted my time. He’s a murderer. He should stay in prison. She was everything to us. She was our whole life and now we don’t have her anymore,” Barry added.
