Kelly Lebrock became famous by posing as a model for cameras and representing top brands. In the 1980s, she became a household name in Hollywood thanks to the success of the films The Woman in Red (1984) and Weird Science (1985), in which she was referred to as a sex symbol. In addition to her illustrious career, Kelly Lebrock attracted a great deal of media attention because of the men with whom she had romantic relationships, including action star Steven Seagal.

Kelly Lebrock was born on March 24, 1960, in New York City into the affluent family of successful businessman Harold Arthur Le Brock of French-Canadian descent and his Irish wife Mary Cecilia Traynor. She grew up in a swanky neighborhood in Kensington, London.

Modeling was not a path that Lebrock had initially hoped to take until a chance encounter with a man at a party who was looking for models. He became interested in her and introduced her to an advertisement for British Airways in Seychelles. At that time she was about 16 years old. With a lot of support from her father, Lebrock got the services of agent Eileen Ford and started a very successful modeling career.

She had immediate success with modeling and would soon adorn the front pages of Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and others. She moved to New York and became best known through the Pantene Shampoo commercial, which made the line “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful” a buzzword in pop culture.

When the model lifestyle became too stressful, Lebrock switched to acting and was immediately successful again thanks to the films The Woman in Red (1984) and Weird Science (1985). Lebrock’s personal problems forced her to withdraw from the limelight in the 1990s. Since then, she has appeared in the media only occasionally.

Ex-Husbands, Husband

Kelly Lebrock has been married three times in her life, and she wishes the second marriage had not taken place. As a young model with a career that moved at the speed of light, Lebrock met and fell in love with Victor Drai, an up-and-coming French-American film producer at the time, who later added the restorer to his repertoire. They married in 1984.

As Lebrock later remembered, she went with Drai to Paris, where they fell in love so much when they watched a series of French films together. It was one of these films that inspired Drai to the idea for “The Woman in Red”.

The film may have been a great success for Drai, but unfortunately, it indirectly cost him his wife. With the fame that came with the success of the film, Kelly Lebrock had become a sex symbol and began to attract the attention of numerous men. Distracted by the constant attention, her relationship with Drai began to suffer, and in 1986, after only two years of marriage, the two-headed for divorce. Drai, who was to become a renowned nightclub owner, married Loryn Locklin in 1990, but they divorced in 1998. Almost two decades later, in 2016, he married Yolanda Krupiarz.

Of all the men who were supposed to attract Lebrock’s attention, she was totally in love with action star Steven Seagal, who was to become her number two husband. They met in 1986 in Japan, where Lebrock wrote a 24-page feature for American Vogue and Seagal visited his ex-wife Miyako Fujitani, who had not yet agreed to divorce him.

Lebrock’s publicist Dick Gutman introduced the two to each other, and soon a romantic relationship between the two began. After completing the divorce from his ex-wife, Seagal married Lebrock in September 1987. Unfortunately, what at first seemed like the perfect marriage ended in disaster. Lebrock later revealed that she had to endure many traumas in the marriage for the sake of her children.

She finally filed for divorce in 1994, citing irreconcilable differences. The much-noticed divorce was executed in 1996. A decade later, Lebrock found love again in Fred Steck, a retired investment banker. They have been married since 2007.

Children, Daughter

Kelly Lebrock has three children, all from her marriage to Steven Seagal. These include daughter Annaliza, born in the spring of 1987, son Dominic, born in June 1990, and another daughter, Arissa, born in 1993.

In an effort to raise her children outside of Hollywood, Lebrock moved to a ranch in Santa Barbara after her ugly divorce from her heir’s father, where she raised her children without television for over two decades.

Lebrock’s youngest daughter, Arissa, has recently attracted attention through her interest in modeling. Kelly appears with her aspiring model daughter in the lifetime series “Growing Up Supermodel”, which debuted in August 2017.
