Because Jenna Ortega’s (20) character Ellie Alves should actually return to “You”!
“We wanted to bring Ellie back, but we heard Jenna was filming for another show,” showrunner Sera Gamble told IndieWire. But a return from the tough youngster is not yet completely off the table. “We have ideas for Ellie to visit again if her schedule allows,” she adds. But which series is to blame for the fact that the 20-year-old has not returned for the new season of “You” after all? The answer is Wednesday!
But will there even be a fifth season of “You” that Jenna could return to? Sera gave the all-clear. “We have an idea for season five that we’re excited about,” she revealed on The Hollywood Reporter podcast. It was never the plan to cancel the series after the current season. There should even be a teaser for the next season at the end of episode ten!
