No! This is not Jennifer Lawrence, but her doppelganger Haley Bennett, who, like Jen, is blonde and, above all, just as talented in acting.

Bennet may seem like a fresh face, but she has been in the entertainment industry for over a decade, yep! this is not a typo… She made her acting debut in 2007 in the romantic comedy Music and Lyrics. Read on to find out everything there is to know about Haley Bennett.

Haley Bennett Bio, Family

She is known professionally as Haley Bennett, but Haley was born on January 7, 1988, as Haley Loraine Keeling in Fort Myers, Florida, and grew up in Naples, Florida. She was born to Leilani (née Bennett Dorsey) and Ronald Keeling, who became single parents after her birth. Since her parents were not together, Haley had to divide her time as she grew up partly with her mother and partly with her father.

As she explained to GQ magazine, Haley got the best of both worlds. Her passion for art was probably sparked by her artistic mother, from whom she probably learned baking as well. Haley is very passionate about baking and has professional cooking as a backup plan in case the acting fails, but from the looks of things, that’s highly unlikely.

Her father has done a lot to dilute her femininity by turning her into a tomboy, her best time as a tomboy, she explained, was in the 6th or 7th grade. Her time with her father began as a teenager when she moved to the woods of Stow, Ohio.

Haley learned hunting and fishing from her dad. She learned how to handle a rifle and dress a deer at a very early age. In an interview with Interview magazine, Haley recalled these moments, which she described as traumatic.

What else did she do? She tried her hand at sports and was bad at it, riding four wheels, one of which she turned over. Haley was not allowed to wear make-up or wear certain clothes, and having friends was taboo!

This may seem a little unbearable, but Haley had a great time in Ohio, where her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins lived.

During her stay in Stow, Haley attended Stow-Munroe Falls High School, where she performed in school plays, something she had been doing since she was 10 years old. Besides acting, Haley also sang in school and church choirs.

These two talents were instrumental in her getting her first acting role in both music and text in 2007. A great role for a 19-year-old girl who started out in Hollywood. The movie in which Haley sang most of the soundtracks was a huge success, with a budget of $40 million, and gross profits of about $150 million. A record deal with 550 Music/NuSound Records followed, but Haley never became a professional singer.

Although it was expected that Haley would immediately become a kind of blockbuster lead singer, her career entered a rather long and slow phase.

Like most actors, Haley ventured into the darkness after her debut role. “I was lost, I was broke. The roles I could never play broke my heart because you know how it is,” she said about those dark times.

But Haley Bennett managed not to be put off while she went on and took on roles in movies that will be forgotten as soon as they hit the theaters.

“But I stuck with it. What else could I do?” she said.

Some of her follow-up films in music and lyrics were College (2008) and The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008), which, in addition to music and lyrics, was part of a three-movie contract she signed with Warner Bros.

She has had roles in Marley & Me (2008), The Hole (2010), Kaboom (2010), Arcadia Lost (2010), Deep Powder (2013), and more.

In mid-2016, Haley Bennett finally began to turn heads. Her encounter with Antoine Fuqua, introduced to her by filmmaker Terrence Malick, proved to be the big thing she had been waiting for for a decade. Fuqua got her a role in his 2014 film The Equalizer, which impressed her and gave her another role in The Magnificent Seven, which featured big names like Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, and Chris Pratt.

Haley solidified her presence in the mainstream with critically acclaimed roles in “The Girl on the Train,” “Rules Don’t Apply,” and “Thanks for Your Service. She is well on her way to becoming a household name in Hollywood.

In early 2018 she became the new face of the luxurious Parisian fashion house Maison.
