The talented mixed martial artist was baptized Georges St-Pierre at his birth on May 19, 1981, in Saint-Isidore, Quebec, Canada. His parents are Roland and Pauline St-Pierre. He grew up participating in various sporting activities, including field hockey, skating, and karate. At the age of 16, he began to practice other martial arts such as wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and boxing. He also had to do some odd jobs to make a living before he finally became a professional mixed martial artist at the age of 21.
It is known that St-Pierre became a professional in 2002, but his earlier years were poorly documented.
