Elle King (33) now speaks plain text. The singer had her first hit with the song ‘Ex’s & Oh’s’, which has now racked up over 175 million views on YouTube. But other songs of hers, like “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)”, are streamed millions of times. Her father is the famous actor Rob Schneider (59), who was seen in the film “Child’s Heads”, for example. But Elle didn’t want to rest on her father’s success. Now Elle spoke about the difficult relationship with her father.
“I wanted to be my own person. I worked hard for my family and for myself. I wanted to build my own life,” she told People Magazine in an interview, adding: “I wanted to know I made it.” She took her mother’s last name when she was young to get away from her father and do her own thing. She never wanted to be the child of anyone famous.
And although the relationship with her father was quite strained in between, harmony seems to have returned. “My dad and I have a wonderful and really amazing loving relationship with amazing boundaries. I love my dad so much,” Elle confessed.
