Dua Lipa Biography, Age
The English songwriter, singer, and model were born in London on 22 August 1995. She spent part of her childhood in London, where she attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School as a part-time student, before returning to her home in Kosovo with her parents in 2008.
Two years later she returned to London to continue her musical career. She worked as a waitress while living alone to make ends meet. She also found jobs as a model and later played the lead role in a TV commercial until 2013. While she was doing all this, in her spare time she covered songs of her favorite artists like P!nk and Nelly Furtado and put them on YouTube. This went quite casually for a while, as she gained more and more opinions and was eventually noticed by the Warner Music Group, which then signed her.
Dua Lipa Professional Career
With the Warner Music Group, Dua (which means love in Albania) released their first single entitled New Love in August 2015. This was followed by her more successful second single, Be the One, in October 2015, with which she achieved worldwide fame. The song was the number one hit at that time in Belgium, Slovakia, and Poland and appeared in the top 10 songs in eleven European countries. It didn’t stop there but was played repeatedly for quite a while in Australia and New Zealand.

More recently she collaborated with Sean Paul on the single No Lie in November 2016, and in January 2017 she released another single called Scared to Be Lonely, which featured Martin Garrix. A few months later, on 2 June 2017, she released her self-titled debut studio album, which was released by Warner Bros Music. The lyrical themes of the songs on the album were mainly about her personal views on love, sex, self-determination and overcoming resistance. The album contains 12 tracks, most of which were written by herself.
