Donatella Versace is an icon in the world of fashion and has already helped countless creme de la creme from Hollywood to rave reviews.

The name Versace is easily associated with fashion and is recognized by probably everyone in the world, even those who have lived under a rock. The Italian fashion designer with cult status stood right next to her brother Gianni Versace when he founded his own fashion company in Milan. She was responsible for putting together several fashion shows and advertising campaigns to raise the company’s profile.

Donatella was so dear to her brother that he dedicated a perfume line called Blonde to her and in the 1980s he also gave her a personal label called Versus. Unfortunately, the company went downhill after the murder of Gianni on July 15, 1997. The famous fashion icon was shot dead on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion at the age of 50.

Post-Gianni’s Death

After his death, Donatella Versace became the creative director of the Versace Group, and in a fierce attempt to rebuild the brand and save it from disintegration, she channeled her internal public relations expert and used the image of celebrities who are friends of hers to sell her brand to the public. This helped turn things around for the shrinking company, as celebrities such as Madonna, Elton John, and a host of others were associated with the company. She also used top models for her catwalk and got the attention she needed from the media.

Currently, Donatella Versace is Vice President of the Versace Group, acts as its Chief Designer, and also holds a 20% stake in the company. She has also become very famous worldwide, especially among fashion lovers, and when she’s not creating stunning designs for some celebrity, the fashion mogul throws lavish parties for her celebrity entourage. She has become quite popular for these parties, and some high-profile personalities such as Prince Charles, Sir Elton John, Liz Hurley, and Kate Moss are present.

It is important to mention that under her supervision, the Versace brand has explored the fashion horizon and has expanded into other areas such as accessories, perfumes, and even home textiles, which can be found in some expensive hotel rooms in Dubai and Australia.

Donatella Versace’s Daughter, Son, Husband (Paul Beck)

She was married twice, first she married Manuel Dallori, but the connection was rather short-lived – from 2004 to 2005. Later she married the American model Paul Beck, with whom she shares two children – Allegra Versace Beck (daughter), born on 30 June 1986, and Daniel Versace (son), born in 1989. While the couple married in 1983, in 2000 came the divorce and they went their separate ways. Apparently, Donatella seems to be single at the time of writing this report.

Allegra inherited 50% of the entire Versace estate from her late dotty uncle Gianni Versace, who was very close to his nieces and nephews before his sudden death. Among all his relatives, Gianni shared a special bond with his niece Allegra, and it was no surprise that he left her half of his fortune. Donatella’s daughter also lives in the limelight and is a patron of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. However, she doesn’t seem to love the limelight as much as many would speculate; in fact, she said she doesn’t like the idea of celebrity.

Allegra’s net worth is $800 million, a fortune she accumulated mainly from her late uncle, who left her half the value of his empire.

Net Worth: How Rich is Donatella Versace?

Considering that her young daughter Allegra is a whopping $800 million rich, it seems certain that her mother, Donatella Versace, is the face of the world-class brand and the brain behind the designs produced by the brand over the last 20 years, is worth twice as much. Still, it will shock you to discover that her name has an estimated net value of only $200 million.

Don’t get it wrong, Donatella’s fortune is outrageous, but her daughter is simply lucky to have a doting uncle who left her half of his fortune and divided the rest between his siblings. Donatella received 20%, while his brother Santo received the other 30%.
