The American-born Hollywood actor Chace Crawford got his career breakthrough in the successful teenage drama series Gossip Girl in which he impersonated the main character, Nate Archibald. Among several other acting achievements, Crawford also had leading roles in movies like the horror movie The Haunting of Molly Hartley and the action drama Twelve.

Christopher Chace Crawford was born on July 18, 1985, in Lubbock, Texas. He has mainly English roots with distant degrees of Scottish, Northern Irish, and German descent. He received his high school education at the Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas. As a teenager, Crawford worked as a model for a number of major retail clothing brands. After graduating in 2003, he enrolled in radio journalism and marketing studies at Pepperdine University. However, he did not complete his studies, as he dropped out to go into acting full-time. Chace Crawford is also the brother-in-law of former NFL quarterback and sports analyst Tony Romo, who is married to his sister Candice.
