Tisdale, who was born on July 2, 1985, in West Deal, New Jersey, the daughter of Christian contractor Michael Tisdale and Jewish mother Lisa Morris, has revealed that she grew up with a little of both religions. She has an older sister, Jennifer Tisdale, who is also an actress. However, Ashely had started her career (1988) long before her sister (2000). Jennifer is married to Shane McChesney and they have one child.
