After nine years of relationship, the wedding bells rang! Sophie Simmons (30) announced her engagement on social media last summer. The daughter of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons (73) shared a sweet photo of her diamond engagement ring with her followers and was already looking forward to it. On Wednesday the time had finally come: Sophie and her James got married!
The two exchanged rings with their friends and family. The day started in the afternoon with a small reception in her mother’s backyard in Malibu. “You really can’t beat the view and I love that it’s so intimate and family-like, ” Sophie tells People Magazine. At sunset, she then walked toward her lover. They then exchanged vows in front of the altar.
Her father seems particularly happy about the choice of her husband: “James is a solid young man and Sophie can do anything she puts her mind to,” said Gene. He hopes that the two can lead a life full of love and happiness. “We couldn’t be prouder of our daughter,” explains the musician.
