Although she has never been to the Philippines, she says that she feels connected to the Philippines because every tradition of her people has passed on to her generation. According to her, there is lumpia and other Filipino food every Thanksgiving.

She attends Dorothy McElhinney Middle School but is taught at home when she is busy or onset. There is not much information online about the names of her parents or whether she has siblings.

According to Olivia Rodrigo, the idea to try acting came after her singing teacher told her that she was expressive with singing and would do well in acting. Coming from her teacher whom she respected so much, she enrolled in a local acting class, fell in love with her, and started auditioning. She auditioned by the ton before she finally got a role in Grace Stir’s Up Success and then in Bizaardvark at the age of 12.

In Grace Stirs Up Success she played the leading role of Grace Thomas, a young aspiring baker who had to take part in a baking competition to save her grandparents’ Parisian bakery. To the question of whether she loved baking or whether she had to do it because of the film, Rodrigo said that she actually loved baking.

In an interview, she revealed that before she was even cast for the film, she and her friends held back parties with her American Girl dolls and that it was both a coincidence and a dream come true that she got the role. After her outstanding performance in Grace Stir’s Up Success, she soon got a role in Disney’s Bizaardvark as Paige Olvera. The sitcom revolves around two teenagers – Paige and Frankie, who are aspiring musicians, and their daily lives as they try to write and perform their own songs.

Olivia said her favorite moments on the show were in the classroom, where they had notes on the wall of quirky things people said that they had to look back on and laugh about later.

She was cast for a new film called Paved New World. The film is all about skateboarding, and she will be seen as a temperament-less teenager. When she talked about her preparation for the new film, she said that her father was a great skateboarder who learned to skateboard almost every day in the 70s and 80s and that he was very much looking forward to teaching her how to skateboard.
