She was born on January 11 1946 in Ashland Kentucky to Pauline Ruth and Charles Glen Judd.
Her father operated a gas station and her brother Brian died of leukemia at the age of 17 in 1965; Christina Claire Ciminella Naomi Judd’s first child was born when Judd was 18 years old.
Her first child was named Ciminella after Michael Ciminella a man Judd married shortly after being dumped by her lover and Wynonna’s biological father Charles Jordan.

Judd died on April 30 2022 after attempting suicide. She was 76 years old when she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at her house in Leiper’s Fork Tennessee.
She had long suffered from melancholy anxiety panic attacks and suicidal ideation.
Her medications including lithium produced side effects such as facial edema alopecia and tremors which added to her mental distress.
