Kim Wayans was born on October 16, 1961, in New York City, New York. She has been described as one of the funniest female television viewers who at one time or another had the honor of having her. She was raised by her parents, Howell Stouten Wayans and Elvira Alethia, in a very large family in the Chelsea district of New York City in a Jehovah’s Witness family. For her education, she went to Wesleyan University where she graduated.
Before she began her career as an actress, Kim started out in the early 1980s as a stand-up comedian who performed in clubs in Los Angeles. The two-meter tall actress received one of her earliest acting roles in Cathy (1986), and from 1987 to 1988 she then appeared in A Different World. She also appeared in Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996), which became one of her most famous works. Kim continued to play in the following years until 2016 when she appeared in the television series The Breaks. Before that, she appeared in New Girl (2014) and Reckless (2013).
