Kiara’s family stated that she traveled to Playa del Carmen to spend her 24th birthday with Ryan Friesen. Her dream vacation was meant to be this one. Unfortunately, it transformed into a nightmare.
According to SSP Solidaridad officers from the Secretariat of Public Security detained Ryan after finding “a lifeless body of Kiara with potential signs of violence in a motel located in the Xcalacoco neighborhood.”
According to Mexican prosecutors, the suspect is currently in custody and additional charges are being examined. Agnew’s body was discovered in the resort’s laundry area according to Mexican police.
Kiara’s body was found on the floor next to the accused suspect who was sleeping beside her. Ryan 27 was identified by the coworker.

Kiara Agnew’s mother is Michele Lebesque. Katlyn Levesque, the late woman’s aunt said she still doesn’t want it to be true. Kiara grew up in Plaster Rock New Brunswick and moved to Dawson Creek as an adolescent according to Katlyn.
The bereaved aunt described her niece’s death as “tragic” for everyone concerned.
The family of the 23-year-old has set up a GoFundMe page to collect funds for the expenses of bringing her home. As of this writing $19883 has been collected towards the 23-year-return-old’s home.
Her relatives described her as a loving and caring individual. She was an animal enthusiast who also loved to travel.
