Those allegations surfaced about a month after some of Morant’s friends were accused of using a red laser to intimidate and harass Indiana Pacers personnel.

Morant who turned 23 in August allegedly struck the 17-year-old during a pickup basketball game at the point guard’s house and he was fouled 12 or 13 times.

Police confirmed that Morant and a companion punched him so hard that a “big knot” appeared on the side of his head.

He allegedly told Shelby County Sheriff’s Office officers that when he returned home after the incident he walked into his hand on a pistol that was visible in the waistband of his jeans.

He also claimed the adolescent threatened his family saying “I’m going to come back and burn this house up like fireworks” and filed a police report several weeks later.

Morant is unlikely to face charges because no one was injured and no one was shot.

Is Ja Morant Guilty? Was He Suspendent?

Many NBA fans are angry about Ja Morant’s recent off-court behavior.

As we all know the Memphis Grizzlies player has been performing admirably this season leading his team to a second-place finish in the difficult Western Conference.

According to new information Ja was carrying a pistol and threatened to shoot the youngster during their altercation.

This is becoming a major issue and it has the potential to derail Morant’s NBA career and legacy. Fans yelled at Morant “Arrest and suspend the thug!” for his behavior.

It appears to be the top priority for NBA fans. Ja and a 17-year-old boy who has not been identified appear to have been playing basketball.

Things became heated and the child was accused of creating a hostile environment by tossing the basketball at Morant.

That was Ja’s justification for beating up the youngster and punching him several times for his actions.

While some of us were already aware of this we now know that things between both sides escalated significantly during this incident.

For the time being, the prosecution appears to agree with Ja and does not appear to be filing charges on his behalf.

After all, if he tossed the ball first it’s impossible to deny that the youngster was an instigator rather than a victim in this incident.
