Harrison Ford was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 31, 1942. His father, Christopher Ford, was an advertising specialist, and his mother, Dorothy Ford, was a former radio actress. Harrison was an active member of the Boy Scouts and rose to the rank of a Boy Scout, which is why Steven Spielberg cast the young Indiana Jones as a scout in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Harrison Ford attended Maine East High School in Park Ridge, where he became the school’s first spokesman for the new radio station. Harrison soon met his second wife, Melissa Mathison, a screenwriter.
