Gordon Ramsay Wiki

Ramsay was once a footballer and was nominated for a U-14 football team at the age of 12. He was lucky enough to be selected for Warwickshire. Unfortunately, he lagged in his football career due to several injuries. In 1984 he was tried by the Rangers, the same football club he had so much support for as a child.

At one point, Gordon Ramsay sustained an injury to his knee, crushing the cartilage during a training session. Despite his injured knee, he continued his training. At the age of 15, he was signed by the Rangers and played a few games outside the league during his attempts. It was around this time that Ramsay began to take an interest in cooking. He did not want to be known only as a footballer.

When Gordon Ramsay was 19 years old, he began to focus on his culinary training. After weighing his options, he went to North Oxfordshire Technical College, funded by Rotarians, to study hotel management. He said that his leap into culinary school was an accident.

In the early 1980s, Ramsay worked at the Hoxton House Hotel, where he served as a commissaire chef. He was responsible for the 60-seat dining room and kitchen at the Wickham Arms. This was until his sexual relationship with his boss’ wife was revealed. Ramsay later moved to London where he worked in several other restaurants until he was motivated to work for Marco Pierre White at Harvey’s. After working at Harvey’s for two years and ten months, he grew tired of the abuse he had suffered and decided to take his career to the next level by studying French cuisine. Gordon Ramsay decided to take a job in Paris but was prevented from doing so by Pierre White. White persuaded him to work for Albert Roux at Le Gavroche in Mayfair. After working at Le Gavroche for a year, Albert Roux invited Ramsay to work with him at the Hotel Diva.
