The two have kept their relationship private since then, but in November the beauty unexpectedly showed up at an event with an XXL baby bump – and thus confirmed her first pregnancy. Now Gemma blurted out: She actually gave birth to the baby in secret!
The 37-year-old revealed this on the “Radio 2 Breakfast Show”. When asked by the moderator, she confirmed: She and Rory are now the proud parents of a son together! “We are very happy. He was born just before Christmas, our little Christmas elf.” The proud mother held back with further details, but she emphasized that she has been coping very well with the new role so far.
That sounded very different ten years ago! In a 2013 interview with The Times, she asserted, “I don’t feel ready for children.” At the time, the statement related primarily to her career: “I don’t know if I could return to the industry after pregnancy and still make a valuable contribution.” In the meantime, her opinion has probably changed – or she has decided to devote herself fully to her family and let her career rest.
