A total of 45 films were on the list of nominations this year. Austin Butler (31) won the award for best leading actor for his performance in the film “Elvis”. Cate Blanchett (53) has been named best actress in the film “Tár”. Kerry Condon (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) won Best Supporting Actress. Barry Keoghan (30) won a Best Supporting Actor award for his performance in the same film. The trophy for best film was won by ” Nothing New in the West “. The film won a total of seven awards.

“Nothing New in the West” was nominated for a total of 14 awards. “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Everything Everywhere All At Once” each received ten nominations. Film director Edward Berger’s war drama has also been nominated for nine Oscars, which will be presented on March 12. “It’s definitely very exciting. And a great pleasure. That only happens once in a lifetime. If you’re lucky,” Edward assured in the Spiegel interview.
