Isaac Bonga is a German professional basketball player of African descent who has managed to sign up as a power forward for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). As a young player, he is credited with the ability to excellently combine the strength of position, basketball quotient, and versatility with increased precision.

Isaac Evolue Etue Bofenda Bonga was born on November 8, 1999, in Neuwied, Germany. For as long as he can remember, he has loved basketball so much that he has always dreamed of playing as well as his all-time favorites such as Magic Johnson, Lebron James, and others. In order to realize his dream of becoming a professional athlete, Isaac Bonga then started playing basketball just for fun at the age of seven. Professional Career
Going pro is an aspect of a player’s career that seems to start later when such a player is much older, but for Isaac Bonga, his professional career began at the age of fifteen. In 2014, he was signed into the fifth German basketball league, the “SG Lützel-Post Koblenz Regionalliga”. During his time in the team, it took a while before he got more playing time, but in the end, he played a total of 24 games, made 2.0 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and averaged 5.9 points with the team.
He was also represented at the junior tournament “Ciutat de L’Hospitalet” with the junior team of the “Brose Baskets” and played just as remarkably well in the junior team of the “Skyliners Frankfurt”. In four of his appearances, Isaac Bonga finished with a total of 7.7 rebounds and 12.2 points. Due to his outstanding performance, Skyliners Frankfurt signed him for four years in June 2016. After signing the contract, Isaac Bonga had to play alternately with the first team, the third German level, and the Skyliners of the ProB.
In the 2017-2018 season, he played a total of 33 games with the first team, of which he was a starter in 11. During the course of the game, he recorded 3.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists per game, and an average of 3.1 rebounds. He declared his intention to join the NBA Draft after signing with the US agents on May 1, 2018.
